About ME

My name is Majlin Erica. I'm a writer, editor, and your personal guide at Studio ME. I help writers refine their storytelling, stay on track, and reach their creative goals.

I'm a communicator by profession, and I have worked with storytelling, writing, and editing in some capacity for over 10 years.

I've written speeches for ministers, corporate strategies, long-form articles, blog posts, and fiction stories. I've worked at different levels in corporate, government, agency, and non-profit sectors, but writing and editing have always been part of my day-to-day.

My key strength is that I'm both analytical and creative. I can critically analyse your work and propose creative solutions.

What is Studio ME?

In addition to writing my own novels, becoming a book editor has long been a dream of mine. Over the past couple of years, I’ve made a concerted effort to make that dream a reality.

Studio ME is my first big leap into the literary and editorial world. It’s a boutique consultancy based in Stockholm, offering strategic and editorial guidance for writers and creators.

My tailored coaching sessions, 24-hour express reviews, manuscript development workshops, and editing services are all designed to inspire, challenge, and support you on your journey to becoming a published author.

I’ve poured my time, effort, and a whole lot of love into this firm. I’m beyond excited that it's all coming together now.

Why work with me?

At Studio ME, I work with a very limited number of clients. This allows me to provide high-quality services and coaching sessions that meet your needs.

I'm a creative writer myself. My first novel is currently going through a second round of line edits. So, when I tell you that I get it, I really, really do. I'm also an avid reader with an interest in the industry, which is useful when discussing how to make your book stand out in a competitive market.

Finally, I know you are making a great investment in your writing career by being here, and I do not take that commitment lightly. It is a great honour to be trusted with your work, and I will do everything I can to support you on your journey to becoming a published author.

Qualifications

I have studied book editing under Francisco Vilhena, Managing Editor at Bloomsbury Publishing, and I’ve been an eager participant in Lauren Kay’s Writing Critique program since 2024. I hold a Master of Communications from Malmö University in Sweden and a Bachelor of Public Relations from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia.

On a more personal note

In addition to my work, books and journals, I love exploring new places, eating great food, drinking great wine, catching up with friends, going to the cinema, taking a sweaty pilates class, cooking elaborate dinners with my partner, attending cultural events of any kind, swimming in the ocean, learning new things, and meeting new people.

My friends call me a Bonne vivante - perhaps that tells you all you need to know.

I'm beyond excited to have you here. If you feel ready to get started, book your first session now.
